Halftime Interview with Dr. Pallavi Tiwari and Angel Gray, Sports Reporter for ESPN. FAU vs. Illinois Men’s Basketball Game @ Madison Square Garden, NYC, December 5th, 2023
Angel Gray: So, for you, what has the V Foundation funding meant for your research and your career?
Dr. Pallavi Tiwari: The V Foundation has been transformational in my career. I had an interesting idea that the V Foundation believed in, and where it has taken us is we are now doing real-time clinical analysis in different hospitals to build this technology that can have a transformative impact on cancer patients and their lives.
Angel Gray: Going straight to the cancer research – how important is that?
Dr. Tiwari: Oh, it’s so important because with cancer research you never know when that idea will hit to get us to the next level. Funding from the V Foundation allows us to pursue that interesting idea – that next big idea – that can change cancer care.
Angel Gray: Last thing – how does it feel to be on a team that fights cancer?
Dr. Tiwari: It means that we are currently the underdogs, but we are well on our way to win the championship.
Angel Gray: I love it. Thank you, Dr. Tiwari.
Dr. Tiwari: Thank you for having me.
